Crisis Assistance Ministry

A one-stop housing financial assistance organization that can assist with rental evictions, utility shut-offs, and other household needs. For help with evictions, you must have an eviction notice. They also offer a free store with clothing, shoes, and household items free-of-charge and a free household appliance program free-of-charge via Crisis Assistance Ministry’s Partner Agency network.

Common Wealth Charlotte

Assists in equipping low-income wage earners with increased financial capability, so they can attain financial stability. This is achieved through a trauma-informed approach including education, personalized counseling, access to banking, and no-interest loans. They help North Mecklenburg county residents.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families

This service provided by Catholic Charities Diocese of Charlotte provides supportive services to very low-income Veteran families in Mecklenburg County who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and ultimately, to end homelessness among Veterans. North Carolina Housing Finance Agency

Critical Home Repairs

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region

Provides urgent, critical home repairs at a subsidized rate, allowing homeowners to remain in their homes. CHR addresses health and safety concerns such as, but not limited to: unsafe roofing or flooring, lack of heat, electrical or plumbing hazards, and accessibility updates including handrails, ramps, and bathroom modifications.

Davidson Housing Coalition Hammers Program

Provides critical home repairs to people who live in Davidson, and prioritizes services to homeowners who are elderly, disabled, single parents, or large households of five or more residents, including children.
